Dr Death Render Test
Finally got the death simulation for the Doctor to a solid place. Overall, I’m really happy with how it’s turning out, especially the main body tear and the way the internal elements are behaving. I’ll probably dial back the blood slightly so it doesn’t feel overdone, but it’s in a good spot visually.
One issue I need to fix is motion blur—when I exported to Alembic, I accidentally lost the velocity attribute, so I’ll need to regenerate or transfer that back in to get proper blur in the render.
With this sim mostly wrapped, I’m expecting the next set of effects chains, candy bowl interactions, and the candy goo to move much faster now that the main technical challenges are figured out and my workflow is more dialed in.
